Sunglasses for a Rainy Day

Okay, so maybe today it isn't raining, but the dreary gloom outside could have fooled me.  And yet, I still feel myself craving some eye peepers because guess what?  SUNGLASSES ARE AMAZING! When I was a little girl, I used to hate to wear any sort of sun protection.  Which meant that sunglasses were my enemy.  No matter how many times my parents lectured me about UV light and going blind, I insisted that the glasses were uncomfortable.  Now, I don't know if I was just a temperamental tot, or if those glasses were seriously pokey, but nowadays I think sunglasses are about the best accessory since shoes.  Seriously, they go with every outfit.  Although (admittedly) I wear them more in the summer (versus the occasional sunny day during the spring or fall) due to the fact that I'm "in the mood," I do think they are a year round possibility.  Just don't wear them in the middle of a blizzard.  You'll look like a nut.  Anyway, without further ado, here are some ah-mazing pairs of sunglasses, separated by dream pairs versus affordable ones.

Covet or Love It

I'm a girl who loves to find beautiful pieces for almost no money.  That's not to say I never splurge, but there is a certain thrill in finding a bargain (which I detailed in my last post).  Whenever I'm on Polyvore it strikes me how wide a price range they have.  While you can easily filter the clothing to a manageable budget using their tools, it's interesting to see the expensive beside the inexpensive (and sometimes not be able to tell the difference).  On Cupcakes and Cashmere (I know, I talk about that blog way too much) there is a type of post where she picks one piece and finds one pricey and one cheap(er) version.  While it's a great post, we all have different body types, different needs and different tastes.  So, I've decided to take it up a notch with three different pieces for several occasions, all with the same, classic pattern of black and white stripes.  Here are pieces that we can covet alongside dresses that are equally cute, but affordable, so that you can love them for a long time.
Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Gift Guide Edition Two: Dream Presents (A.K.A. Insane Gifts That We May Never Buy But That Is Fun to Dream About)

Last year one of my most successful posts was this one.  People really seemed to like it so I decided to give you yet another round of ridiculously amazing gifts this year.

This beautiful dress from Valentino comes in at a whopping $5,880.  As I am not a celebrity, I may never wear a garment so very expensive.  But I do dream, as do you I am sure, and hey, what girl wouldn't feel like magic in this dress?

This watch is worth 15 million dollars...................so, yeah.   I just have to say that if I ever had this on my wrist, I don't think I would feel safe going out in public.  I mean, there are 201 carats of DIAMONDS on there.  Still, it is absolutely stunning and thus, a true gift of my dreams.
Now I don't know much about cars, but I do know that this $1.25 million dollar automobile is the cream of the crop.  Get him this and you can guarantee he'll love you forever (or is it wrong to buy love? I don't know, but I don't think you can hate a person who gives you this...).

Can't think of a good gift for your kids? How about this teddy bear made of real gold, sapphires and diamonds for $71,500?

Are you a serious chocoholic? Well, then let me introduce you to one of the most stunning chocolate collections I have ever seen.  And the cost? No less than $275!

Or, if those chocolates aren't enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can head over to Serendipity for a sundae that will blow your mind.  As the world's most expensive ice cream sundae, this gold leaf covered confection is $1000.  I would savor the moment.

So there you are, another edition of my insane gifts.  I can't believe it's been over a year since I started this blog.  Whether my audience is large or small, I love to write these posts and share them with everyone!

Kisses,
